The School of Distance Education at Bharathiar University was founded in 1991. It is situated in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore. There are approximately 308 Spot Admission-cum-Learning/Information centers spread out across the nation.

UG, PG, PG Diploma, Diploma, and Certificate Programs are Available at BU SDE. Along with BCA, BSW, and B.Lib.Sc programs, it offers BSc, BA, B.Com, and BBA courses in 17, 6, 3, and 15 different disciplines. The university offers M.Sc. in 13 specializations, MA in 7 disciplines, M.Com, MBA, Integrated MBA, Executive MBA, MCA, MSW, and M.Lib.Sc. courses as PG-level programs. Each PG-level program lasts for two years.

Candidates may also enroll in a certificate program with eight specializations, a PG diploma program with 16 specializations, or a diploma course with 11 specializations.


●     Only the offline mode is allowed for submitting the application. Candidates had the option to download the form from the university's website and pick it up in person or by mail.

●     Candidates are accepted into UG programs based on how well they performed on the qualifying exam.

●     The merit of the qualifying degree is taken into consideration for admission to MBA and MCA programs.

●     Selection criteria for students applying for admission to PG-level courses include eligibility and performance on the qualifying exam.

●     According to Bharathiar university requirements, candidates are admitted to PG Diploma, Diploma, and Certificate programs based on the percentage they earned in the prerequisite exam.

The Bharathiar university distance education admission process is very easy and has less than 5 steps. The candidate needs to follow step by step procedure to get enrolled in the university,

Candidates may submit applications offline. You could submit the application in person or by mail by paying the fee with a demand draught, bank challan, or cash. The application can also be downloaded from the university's website and submitted in person or by mail. These are the procedures to apply:

1. Pay the application fee and pick up the form in person. 

2. Correctly complete the application form.

3. Include the necessary documents.

4. Submit the application form on Bharathiar university's official website.

 

Documents required:-

●     Marksheet and passing certificate of class 10th and 12th

●     Passport-sized photograph

●     DD or Bank Challan

●     Equivalent certificate (for Graduates from Foreign universities)

●     Photo ID proof

Bharathiar university distance courses.

The Bharathiar university distance education courses are available in undergraduate, graduate, and diploma programs in the humanities, sciences, and business. The list of courses and who they are eligible for is provided below:-

1st course: B.A. In general or honor

●     English and Tamil-speaking expertise

●     Duration:- 3 years.

●     Intermediate (10+2) in any stream is required.

2nd course: B.B.A.

●     Specialization: Front Office & Customer Care Management, Bharathiar University, Retail Management, Hospital Management, Shipping Administration, and more

●     Duration:-  3 years

●     Intermediate (10+2) in any stream is required.

3rd course: M.Com

●     Application of computers as a specialty

●     Duration: Two Years

●     Eligibility: A B.Com with a major in Computer Applications or another specialization with CA

4th course: M.B.A

●     Corporate communication, marketing, operations, accounting, and finance are just a few of the areas of specialization.

●     Duration: Two Years

●     Eligibility: Graduate of any course with a B average.

5th course: B.com

●     specialization - computer application

●     Eligibility-  Intermediate(10+2) in Commerce stream

●     Duration- 3 years

Bharathiar university distance education scholarships.

The following are the scholarship programs available to students at the university:

●     Candidates for the BC-MBC post-matriculation scholarships offered by the Government of Tamil Nadu must have attained a minimum attendance rate of 75% in the previous academic year. Parents' annual income should be less than INR 1,000,000.

●     Candidates for the Higher Education Special Loan Scholarship (SC-ST Converted Christian students) must reside in the university residence hall. The parents' combined annual income should not exceed INR 50,000.

●     Students from SC-ST who have converted to Christianity and are Adi-Dravidars are eligible for Government of India Scholarships if they met the minimum attendance requirement of 75% in their previous academic year. For SC and ST candidates with an annual income under INR 1,00,000, the parent's annual income should be less than INR 50,000.
